This is a one time breeding of Golden Retriever puppies from Legacy and BB in order to keep back two of her females to add to our breeding program. We have two males currently available for adoption. The puppies were born on January 25, 2010 and will be ready to go home March 20. These are AKC Registered Golden Retrievers. They are half English and half American Golden Retrievers. The puppies range in color from cream to light golden. Adoption price is $1,200.
We are expecting great things out of this litter of puppies, both in conformation and disposition. Legacy is Champion Sired, OFA Good, CERF Normal and OFA Cardiac Normal. She herself was a keep back pick of litter puppy that was destined for the show ring. Show she did, but because of her smaller size, she wasn't placing well in the puppy classes. We are ever so grateful to Candace of Copperfield's Goldens for allowing us to adopt her. For us her smaller size was just perfect as she is able to snuggle up perfectly next to us in the car or for a before bed cuddle! Legacy stands about 21 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 65 pounds (she's a bit overweight!) Her personality couldn't possibly be any sweeter, gentler or more family orientated. We've had Legacy from the time she was about five months old. She LOVES to swim and is a first class ball player! She's been an important part of our children's growing up as well as a corner stone in our breeding program.
Legacy consistently passes along her gorgeous face and conformation to her puppies (the reason we choose her puppies to keep back.) Not only does she pass along her good looks but her amazing disposition as well. Even at just two weeks old we can tell that these puppies have big beautiful, square faces, stocky solid bodies and gentle, sweet temperaments perfect for a family companion.
We bred Legacy with our gorgeous English boy BB (Big Boy.) BB has an impressive Champion background. Both his parents are OFA Good, CERF Normal and OFA Cardiac Normal. BB's genetic health testing to be completed the second week of March.
BB is a big handsome boy. He stands about 26 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 85 pounds. He is a typical Golden Retriever lover boy. He's good natured with people and all the other dogs. He's never gotten into a fight with our other males, even if they try to instigate it (even though he's much bigger than them and would easily win!) BB is a big blocky boy with a stunning head piece and beautiful creamy white coat. We are excited to have him as the Sire for our second generation Golden Retriever puppies.
Puppies are raised in the main area of our home (our living room!) We believe that an important part of socialization is just letting the puppies be part of the family from the day they are born. They are exposed to the daily sights and sounds of a family with young children. They are handled and loved extensively, given positive reinforcement for appropriate behaviors and corrected gently when misbehaving so that they know what's expected of them as family companions. All our puppies are fully crate trained, sleeping 8 hours at night by the time we release them to their new families. We release our puppies between 10 and 12 weeks, a bit longer than some breeders. We feel this benefits them greatly by making sure they are completely ready, both physically and emotionally to make the transition to your home. You are always welcome to call us with any questions you have over the lifetime of your puppy. We will do our best to help you with any questions or concerns that may come up when raising your puppy. Of course we always LOVE getting pictures and hearing how your puppy is doing.
